Our StoryOur Story: Why KLERATY Exists
KLERATY was founded in Birmingham by Fanta Kromah after 14 years of searching for skincare that worked. Here's the story behind the company.

The skincare industry has never actually seen you. Not really.
It's seen your quiz answers. It's seen your self-reported skin type. It's seen broad categories built to sell broad products to as many people as possible. What it hasn't seen is your actual skin. Measured, not guessed at.
We call this gap Dermal Blindness: recommending a routine based on how skin is described, instead of what it's measurably doing. It's the reason so many routines feel like they should work but don't. The starting point was never accurate.
Skin-type categories like oily, dry or combination ask people to self-diagnose using distinctions that are genuinely hard to judge, even for trained aestheticians. A shiny T-zone can mean two opposite things: excess oil, or dehydrated skin overproducing oil to compensate. They look identical. They need opposite treatment.
Add to that the fact that skin changes constantly with weather, sleep, stress, water hardness and whatever was used last week. A quiz answer from months ago is describing skin that may no longer exist. Yet that stale answer is exactly what most routines are still built on.
The Balanx System™ reads skin directly, capturing texture, tone, hydration, pigmentation and condition through a phone camera scan. No self-report, no category guessing. A protocol built from what's actually there.
This isn't a better quiz. It's a different starting point entirely: real biometric data instead of a description.
KLERATY exists because Dermal Blindness has cost people their confidence, their money and their time for long enough. Ending it is the whole reason this company exists.
